The Black Lives Matter group held a protest rally to protest the disproportionate number of blacks killed by white police officers. Black Lives Matter protested at Fremont Street and then at the Bellagio where several were arrested by Metro Police.In other news, Freedom Fest is coming to Las Vegas this week. The event starts on Wednesday and runs through Saturday. Boxing legend George Foreman and US Senator Rand Paul will be giving speeches, along with many more libertarian and conservative leaders at the annual convention. CATHERINE CORTEZ MASTO COMMENTS ON HILLARY’S EMAIL SCANDAL And in local news, at a recent press conference, U.S. Senate Candidate Catherine Cortez Masto was asked about the fallout surrounding Hillary Clintons email scandal. The Reno Gazette-Journal’s Seth Richardson asked Cortez Masto, “Would you have used a private email server?”. Cortez Masto refused to rule it out and said, “I’m not going to speculate.” Catherine Cortez Masto’s refusal to say she would not have used a private email server like Hillary Clinton is baffling, said Dr. Joe Heck for U.S. Senate spokesperson Brian Baluta. How hard is it to say, “No, I would not have used a private email server in order to safeguard classified material”? NO COMMENT FROM JOE HECK YET REGARDING IMPEACHING HILLARY And no comment yet from Congressman Heck, a chairman on the House Intelligence Committee, on whether he would vote to impeach Hillary Clinton. Overnight, two Bureau of Land Management firefighters were killed, and another was injured, returning from the Denio area near the Nevada-Oregon state line on State Highway 140, according to the BLM.
