ARE THE DALLAS MAVERICKS MOVING TO VEGAS?

An NBA basketball team is the only thing missing in Las Vegas’s quest to be the sports and entertainment capital of the world. This week, the NBA approved the sale of the Dallas Mavericks basketball team.

The new owner of the Mavericks basketball team is the Sands Corp., executed by Dr. Miriam Adelson, wife of deceased Sheldon Adelson. Dr. Adelson reportedly paid Mark Cuban $3.5 billion for the team. Patrick Dumont, Adelson’s son-in-law and CEO of Sand Corp., will serve as team governor.

But everyone in Las Vegas wants to know if they plan on moving the team to Las Vegas. They are keeping things hush-hush for now.

According to Forbes, the Las Vegas Raiders have more than doubled their franchise value from $3 billion to over $6 billion since moving to Las Vegas.
