The last reporter to write about sex scandals in Clark County government ended up being murdered by a Democrat politician. Public administrator Rob Telles was charged with the murder of Las Vegas Review journalist Jeff German. Following that series of events, it’s understandable that local reporters are hesitant to report on sex scandals in local government. But we may have another Clark County Sex scandal on our hands in Clark County.

According to an EEOC complaint filed by a Clark County employee, Oscar Blanco, Clark County Assessor Briana Johnson’s husband, Otis Johnson, is or was having an affair with Oscar’s wife, an employee in the Assessor’s office. According to Oscar, this led to him being harassed and threatened by Briana. According to Oscar, the EEOC complaint is now public record.

Oscar Blanco issued the following statement:

” I filed a EEOC complaint against my employer because I believe that my employer and Clark County Assessor was covering up that the husband Otis Johnson was having an affair with my ex wife and using this affair to cause work place sexual harassment against”

Democrat Briana Johnson was elected Clark County Assessor on November 6, 2018. Johnson has been a career bureaucrat in Clark County, working in the Assessor’s Office for the past 25 years and counting.

According to her website,

“She started in 1995 and held various positions in the Appraisal Division, including Manager of Property Appraisal, prior to being promoted to Assistant Director of Assessment Services in 2016.”

Johnson is running against first-time Republican candidate Helen Oseguera.
360 News Las Vegas reached out to Briana Johnson for comment, but so far she has refused to address the merits of the complaint.
