NEVADA REPUBLICAN PARTY RAISES RECORD $5 MILLION THIS ELECTION

November 7, 2016

In 2012, the Nevada Republican Party raised over $255,000 dollars for the entire election year. As of November 4th, 2016 the Nevada Republican Party raised over $5 million dollars, including $5,400 dollars from Clint Eastwood. The Trump fundraiser in Lake Tahoe in August hauled in about half a million alone. The National Republican Party and the National Republican Senatorial Committee donated hundreds of thousands to the state party. But the bulk of the funds came from every day Republicans.

According to many Republicans we spoke with, Chairman Mike McDonald hit it out of the park this year.

NEWSMAXTV LAS VEGAS Spoke with Chairman Mike McDonald who said QUOTE “We built on our red wave victory in 2014 and the donor class of the country took note and opened their wallets. Having strong candidates like Joe Heck and Donald Trump has helped drive our record donations.”

In comparison, the Clark County Republican Party only raised $11,000 dollars in the last 3 months, bringing their total to $89,000 for the election year to date. The scandal with Ed Williams, who resigned over spending for the County Convention in February, had scared away donors, according to sources.

Tomorrow is election day, so we will see if all that money delivers Nevada to Joe Heck and Donald Trump. We will also see if the Republicans hold the State Assembly and Senate majority or if the Reid Machine once again dominates another cycle.
