NV REPUBS ELIMINATE PROPERTY TAXES FOR SENIORS

Republicans recently discovered cutting taxes is great politics, something I have been saying for the last 10 years. Cutting taxes was a huge part of the Republican brand before the RINO’s took over the party. So far this election, Trump Republicans are advocating to eliminate taxes on tips, and now Trump is calling for no taxes on Social Security for seniors.

Seniors vote more than any other group of Americans. So now is a great time for Nevada Republicans to run on eliminating property taxes for seniors. If Republicans from the County Commission to the State House want to win elections this year, push to eliminate property taxes for seniors.

According to AARP, California and New York are the number 1 and 2 states seniors are leaving. They are leaving because of the tax burden, especially property taxes. Seniors living on fixed income are crushed by rising property taxes. Seniors are the number one group who face foreclosure by the government for back property taxes. After spending their whole life paying off their mortgage, they can still end up losing their home. That is immoral at it’s core.

Eliminating property taxes for seniors is good politics and the right thing to do. So call your local Republicans in Nevada and tell them to keep senior citizens in their homes and stop property tax foreclosures. Fight senior homelessness.
