MAUI POLICE CHIEF WAS VEGAS OCT 1 MASS SHOOTING SITE COMMANDER

Maui Police Chief John Pelletier, who failed to react to the wildfires that left over 100 people burned to death last week on the island of Maui, was the same man who was the incident commander at the October 1 mass shooting in Las Vegas that left 58 Americans dead.

“Probably still over 1,000” residents remain unaccounted for, Hawaii Gov. Josh Green said.

According to reports, the police and first responders failed miserably in Maui to warn residents and react to the wildfires. According to CNN, Maui Emergency Management Agency Administrator Herman Andaya just resigned, citing health issues.

Folks ran into the ocean to escape the fires, only to be left there. When the Maui wildfires broke out Aug. 8, residents said they were not evacuated, and none of the island’s warning sirens sounded for evacuation. No one even tried to help evacuate the victims. The government abandoned them.

Pelletier said at his new conference:

“Give us a little bit of time,. We’ve got to go make 89 notifications. And coming from a place that had to make 58, I understand the pain this is going to take, and we’re not done with 89.”

“When we find these – you know, our family and our friends – the remains we’re finding is through a fire that melted metal. We have to do rapid DNA to identify them,”
