SHERIFF McMAHILL DESCRIBES HOW HE CAUGHT 7 MURDER SUSPECTS

This week, Las Vegas City Councilwoman and candidate for Mayor Victoria Seaman held a public safety town hall on the north-west side of Las Vegas with Sheriff Kevin McMahill and other key law enforcement partners.

Sheriff McMahill described how, using license plate reading cameras at the state line, Las Vegas Metro Police were able to apprehend seven California Murder suspects fleeing to Vegas. The program was such a success that his department is purchasing $2 million worth of Flock Cameras.

In addition to license plate reading cameras, Sheriff McMahill plans to deploy other advanced technologies to fight crime, including the purchase of new robots and drones to seek out gunfire in neighborhoods plagued by gangs and high crime.
