NEVADA ECONOMY STRUGGLING FOLLOWING TAX INCREASE IMPLEMENTATION

Employment in Nevada reached its height of 1,349,403 in April 2016. However, 6,498 jobs have been lost in Nevada since April. And the Welfare Food Stamp participation rate, also known as SNAP, has also skyrocketed.

Over the last 5 years, the food stamp participation rate has more than doubled, from 164,000 people to over 406,000 this year.

May Job Losses -1698

June Job Losses -2,846

July Job Losses  -1,954

Political contributor Rob Lauer had this to say :

“How can the Governor claim his economic policies are working when Nevada has seen the Food Stamp participation rate increase by over 140% and thousands of Nevadans are losing their jobs following the largest tax increase in Nevada’s history.”
