ICE STANDS BY ILLEGAL ALIEN DETAINER REPORTS REGARDING SHERIFF LOMBARDO

June 11, 2017

According to an ICE report for January 28, 2017 thru February 3, 2017, Clark County Sheriff Lombardo refused to turn over 51 criminal illegal aliens with ICE detainer holds, the number #1 offender in the country. Sheriff Lombardo, who is officially running for re-election, went back to Washington D.C. to personally lobby U.S. Attorney Jeff Sessions to change and/or correct the ICE reports in March 2017 following a host of negative news reports.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement recently issued a correction, due to data errors, in their Declined Detainer Outcome Reports ordered published by President Trump’s executive order in January 2017. But ICE refused to make any changes in their Detainer Hold Reports regarding Clark County Metro Police. Sheriff Lombardo claimed at a recent luncheon, he was fully cooperating with ICE detainer holds and the reports were inaccurate.

Due to a data processing error, the Jan. 28 – Feb 03, 2017 Declined Detainer Outcome Report incorrectly attributed issued detainers to Franklin County, Iowa; Franklin County, New York; Franklin County, Pennsylvania; and Montgomery County, Iowa that were in fact issued to agencies outside of the respective county’s jurisdiction in similarly named locations. Additionally, detainers that appeared as being declined by Williamson County, TX and Bastrop County, TX were cases where the individual was transferred to another facility where they were released. Finally, detainers appeared as being declined by Chester County, PA and Richmond County, NC when those detainers were incorrectly issued to those locations. The subjects of those detainers were in different locations.

According to reports, Lombardo has only a 38% approval rating, forcing him to start campaigning now for re-election already. His flip flopping on gun control issue, Lombardo’s Sanctuary City scandal and the explosion in crime during his administration has sunk his approval numbers with the public.

U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions sent to letter to Clark County warning them they will cut off federal grant money this month if Lombard does not comply with immigration laws.
