DID GOV. SANDOVAL’S ENDORSEMENT OF JOHN KASICH LAST MONTH REFLECT HOW OUT OF TOUCH HE IS WITH BASE REPUBLICANS? YES!

May 3, 2016

Just last month Governor Sandoval, on April 16, 2106, endorsed long shot Ohio Governor John Kasich in the Republican Presidential election. Today, less than a month later, the race is over and both Kasich and Sandoval appear to be shell shocked. Sandoval endorsed Kasich almost two months after his own party in Clark County overwhelmingly endorsed Donald Trump who today became the presumptive Republican Presidential Nominee. Sandoval was overtly absent from the largest GOP central committee in Nevada, Clark County, in a HUGE election year.

The two Governors have a lot in common after all. They both supported Obamacare and expanded their state’s Medicaid system. They both support open borders and driver’s licenses for illegal aliens, they both support common core education and they both raised taxes in their respective states.

Sandoval is now facing a full-fledged Civil War in his party as almost every Assemblymen and Nevada State Senator who voted for his $1.5 Billion tax increase is facing an organized primary challenger. Sandoval has come out aggressively and endorsed several elected officials for re-election, including Michael Roberson, Chris Edwards, Assembly Speaker John Hambrick and Majority Leader Assemblyman Paul Anderson. We will see next month if Sandoval’s endorsements have the same effect on their races as he did on former Republican Presidential Candidate John Kasich.
