CONGRESSMAN HECK ENDORSES DONALD TRUMP, CAUTIOUSLY

May 6, 2016

Congressman Heck never officially endorsed anyone running for President in the Republican primary election this season until now. Heck has been walking a fine line between the “Establishment Republicans” and courting the conservative base, as he competes in the Republican Primary to replace Senator Harry Reid. If the three term congressman and standing US Army Brigadier General wins the Republican primary, he will mostly face former Attorney General and handpicked Harry Reid successor, Catherine Cortez Masto in the general election in the fall.

Donald Trump trounced the entire Republican field in the Nevada Caucus back in February, winning 45% of the vote in a five man field. Trump supporters have dominated Nevada county GOP central committees across the state since and are set to conquer the Republican State Convention next week in Reno.

Congressman Heck’s spokesperson issued the following statement today following Donald Trump’s overwhelming victory in Indiana, forcing all the other candidates to drop out.

Congressman Heck’s spokesman, Brian Baluta said; “Dr. Heck certainly doesn’t agree with Mr. Trump on everything, but he does agree that it is time for America to begin winning again after eight years of failed leadership from Barack Obama and Harry Reid. Our campaign is focused on economic prosperity, keeping Americans safe and improving the quality of life for all Nevadans. Those are issues that will give Nevada voters a clear choice in our U.S. Senate race.”
