VIDEO: ARE PLANNED PARENTHOOD TV ADS AGAINST HELLER A GREAT REASON TO CUT THEIR FUNDING?

The recent flurry of TV ads hitting Nevada airwaves against Dean Heller, paid for by Planned Parenthood Action Fund, maybe the best reason to cut off their funding.

At a Reno town hall this year, Dean Heller said he fully supports funding Planned Parenthood. Yep the same group running TV ads against him even though he supports them. The group is spending millions of dollars running ads against a Republican Senator who supports them and in the process exposing themselves as partisans.

The issue today is not whether you support abortion rights or not. It’s who should pay for those abortions? Planned Parenthood showed an increase in government reimbursements and grants for 2016, reporting $554.6 million in taxpayer funding, while in 2014-2015 it reported $553.7 million. Planned Parenthood reported a profit of $58.8 million in 2014-2015. This year Planned Parenthood profits rose to $77.5 million for 2016.

Planned Parenthood once again reported an increase in the number of abortions it performed in their facilities to 328,348 last year.

Planned Parenthood CEO, Cecile Richards, made $957,952 last year according to reports. The average salaries in Planned Parenthood affiliates rose last year to an average of $389,514. And most, if not all, of those high paid employees donated big money to Democrats and the PAC funding the TV ads running against Dean Heller today.

Planned Parenthood’s TV and radio ads ask who “Who will provide needed medical services for women?” If Planned Parenthood is making a profit of $77 million a year after paying out $957K salaries it can pay for it without our tax dollars.

Planned Parenthood is now a Democratic slush fund to pay for partisan TV ads against Republican Senators, even those Senators who declare publicly they support Planned Parenthood. If Planned Parenthood can afford to run TV and radio ads they don’t need our tax dollars.
